“Having one on one sessions is great, but I want to impact more people and create a united business community with nonprofits and for profit businesses,” stated Pennix-Brown.  She began her facilitation of small business development and social media marketing  with two classes over 4 years ago at the GTCC Small Business Center and she currently teaches about 90% of their workshops and classes.  In addition, to the #GTCCSBC she teaches at about 12 other Small Business Centers across North Carolina.

Earlier this year Chisa hosted her monthly Dream Biz Series which helps people seeking specific information on various areas of business the opportunity to meet and learn from professionals who are already successful.  The Dream Biz Series entitled “How to Start a Nonprofit” was by far the largest one of the year, boasting over 70 attendees.  This interest sparked the first Nonprofit Development series at the GTCC Small Business Center, which was facilitated by fellow #GNPConsortium Consultant Kathryn Addo of STC Consulting Group. Seeing numbers like these and an increased interest in quality training is what spurred, Pennix-Brown’s desire to revamp Tech Thursdays for the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium

Pennix-Brown is also a Business Coach with SCORE, a a respected association of volunteer business executives providing free confidential, professional business advice to entrepreneurs and business owners.  All of this experience is welcomed by the #GNPConsortium as they are a dedicated staff of two that rely heavily on volunteer and donor participation.  The 2017 schedule is out now so you can save the dates. Lady Bizness is happy to help you get ready for lively and immediately actionable training to help grow your business and your nonprofit!
